Baked Ziti - Another Recipe!

So I made baked ziti a few weeks ago...and I know some of you on facebook were asking me for the recipe.  Sorry for being a slacker...lol Here is the recipe...which actually, I used from the back of the San Giorgio ziti box :)   Enjoy!

What you'll need...

6 cups (16 oz.) ziti, uncooked
3 cups (about 26-oz. jar) spaghetti sauce
1-3/4 cups (15 oz.) ricotta cheese
2 cups (8 oz.) shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1 egg
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
What you do...

Heat oven to 375°F. Cook pasta according to package directions for 9 minutes; drain. In large bowl, stir together hot pasta, 1-1/2 cups spaghetti sauce, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, parsley, egg, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper. In 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish, spoon pasta mixture; top with remaining 1-1/2 cups sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese; cover with foil. Bake 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

It's very tastey and easy to make :)

                                                                             Enjoy!

Crunchy Chicken - A recipe!

So I think this blog is starting to turn more into a recipe/food blog haha.  Two food recipes in a row!  Mike and I wanted chicken for dinner.  We normally just make BBQ chicken but I am kind of tired of that.  I found a coupon in the Sunday paper for French's French Fried Onions with a chicken recipe attached...so we tried it!

What you'll need...

2 cups of French's French Fried Onions (or Onions with ceddar, which is what we used)
2 table spoons of flour
1 egg
4 decent sized boneless chicken breasts

It's very easy...what you do, is take the French Fried Onions and flour, and put them in a large zip log bag.  Crush up the onions and mix it around with the flour to desired texture.  Next, beat the egg.  You will then take the chicken breasts, dip them in the egg, and then put them in the bag with the onion crumbs to cover the chicken.  Cook them in the oven on 350 until done!  They taste great, though Mike and I decided they'd taste even better with a little bit of cheddar cheese on top as well.  Enjoy! :)

Mike was dipping the chicken in the egg :)

Here's a shot from when we first put them in the oven....

And here is the finished product! :)

Then, to top it all off, we also made chocolate and white chocolate strawberries :)
