Apple and Sage Pork Chops - A Recipe!

Today Mike and I decided that pork chops sounded like a good idea for dinner.  We got the recipe from McCormick's and it's definatly something we will make again!  Please find the recipe below!!!  Enjoy!

Ingrediants:
1 1/2 tsp Rubbed Sage
1 tsp Minced Garlic
1 tsp Thyme Leaves
1/2 tsp Ground Allspice
1/2 Paprika
1 tbsp flour
t tsp salt
4 boneless pork chops, 1 inch thick (about 1 1/4 lbs.)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion thinly sliced  (we left this out)
2 red apples, thinly sliced (we used 1)
1/2 cup apple juice
1 tbsp brown sugar.

So,  first, you mix the flour, and all of the spices in a small bowl...
This is done while the oil is in the skillet getting hot.

Next, cover each side of the pork chops with the seasoning mix.  Only use about a tablespoon total for this part.

After that, you brown the pork chops on each side over medium heat...

After that, remove the pork chops from the heat, and add the sliced onions and apples cooking them for 2-3 minutes.  Like I said earlier, we left the onions out.

When the apples/onions are tender, add the apple juice and the brown sugar.  Make sure to mix it up really well.

Once mixed, add the pork chops back to the mix.  Keep them on medium on heat until the apple juice and spice mix begins to boil.  Once it boils, turn down the heat, cover the pork chops, and let them simmer 5 minutes or until desired doneness.

Enjoy!!!!
